I regularly obsess over the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos at Gott's Roadside. They are simply delicious! And perfect with a glass or two of rose.

sister time.

A while back my sister Ashley and I had a long overdue girls night. Beauty masks, boy talk, makeup lessons for me, camera lessons for her and wine, lots of wine... It is nights like this that remind me how important quality sister time is for the soul. I love you ash!

found and lost :(

I posted a while back about the pain of moving... especially with independent outdoor cats. Well, at the time cat number 2 (the kitty in the background) was still missing. To everyone's surprise, she was found last week after missing for over 3 months... and after a few jealous cat fights between the two, she seemed to be settling in quite nicely. That was until she found a hole in the garage (honestly, I didn't know a fat cat could fit through such a tiny little hole)... and if getting out before acclimating to her new surroundings wasn't bad enough, we then we had two solid days of pouring rain. So sadly, after only a week, our found cat is now lost again... and this time in a neighborhood she is unfamiliar with. Keeping fingers crossed she shows back up, either here or in Alta Heights.

Last week we visited Stanly Lane Marketplace's pumpkin patch. I love visiting this place... especially with a little one. Not only am I crazy about their pumpkins (the heirloom varieties are to die for!), I love exploring the "playground"in which the pumpkins are scattered about... here are some pictures of miss Lexi's first adventure at Stanly Lane.

eat | dim sum charlie's

We love you long time...

I can not express to you how happy I am to have dim sum here in Napa. It seriously is a dream. Especially since my usual dim sum place, Yank Sing is located about an hour away in San Francisco.

Last weekend Matt and I met up with our friends Kate and Jack for dim sum and a movie date night (Dim Sum Charlie's is walking distance to the movie theater). It was a deliciously perfect evening!
