i had such a lovely evening with my family last night. seeing them reminds me how much i have missed them. sometimes i can't believe i am the same girl who moved clear across the united states to go to college. the girl who is now back in napa and wishing they would stop being retired and stick around more.

this past year has been filled with so much sadness and loss, seeing my parents this happy and at peace was heartwarming to say the least. the napa river is magical. it is raw and serene and healing and calming...and i know the right place for my father now.

today i woke up craving the taco's from pearl restaurant here in napa. they are delicious. so delicious i actually took a picture of them the last time i was there. thankfully my dear friend leti was more forgiving than my boyfriend with regards to taking pictures of our food. i think he gets embarrassed. once he gets over it, i'll have more food pictures to share. or maybe i should breakup with him...

pablo's collar broke at the lake over the weekend. not so fun with a dog who sometimes pretends he doesn't hear. actually, lots of fun for him + anyone watching, not so fun for me.

anyways, we went down to vineyard dog on main street in napa today to get him a new one. love that store! came home with lots of treats, new squeaky toys for elliot + a second collar for 50% off {much needed backup}.

not only does this store have wonderful products, but great customer service! the sweet owner gave pablo lots of love + treats + tons of samples for elliot to try for his sensitive skin.

had so much fun at the fair the other night! hopefully we will go back again this weekend. most definitely will not go on anything more than the ferris wheel. lesson learned on wednesday - ranger (picture below)= headache. seriously, what happened to being able to ride upside down + sideways over + over again without feeling sick???

this is a view from a house i just sold on milton road. as i said in an earlier post, i have fallen in love with the napa river area. how lucky are we to live in such a beautiful place...we have the vineyards + the water!
