poor pablo has practically chewed his tail off. i feel horrible for finding humor in his reaction to having this cone on his head. seriously he thinks the cone = losing the use of his legs. just sits like this ALL day. he. will. not. move!! hopefully he gets better quickly.

napa town + country fair . 2009

had so much fun at the fair the other night! hopefully we will go back again this weekend. most definitely will not go on anything more than the ferris wheel. lesson learned on wednesday - ranger (picture below)= headache. seriously, what happened to being able to ride upside down + sideways over + over again without feeling sick???

this is a view from a house i just sold on milton road. as i said in an earlier post, i have fallen in love with the napa river area. how lucky are we to live in such a beautiful place...we have the vineyards + the water!

i do not have a costco card. i really can not justify having one. seriously do i need 20 a pound bag of flour or a pack of 50 batteries? no. however, i will not turn down an opportunity to accompany a friend on a little costco outing. 2 large jars of nutella later + i am thinking i might need a costco membership after all! heaven.

ps: my favorite costco in the napa valley area is the fairfield location. super clean + lots of organic options! 

what i love about today.

1. waking up to see pablo quietly peeking his head in the door (i do not pretend he is excited to see me anymore, he is purely driven by food).

2. visiting zeller's ace hardware on lincoln. seriously, the nicest + most knowledgeable people. i love looking at the shelves + all their neatness. so clean + organized. i could spend forever in there just imaging what each tool did...wishing i knew how to use them. 

3. the weather is perfect. cool morning, warm (but not too warm) afternoon with a little breeze.

4. i love that my buyers are over the moon with their purchase - all set to close on monday!

5. peaches + melon + tomatoes + fresh herbs + the thought of going to the farmers market in the morning!

6. my newest free find - a filing cabinet! one more project, but its a beauty. can't believe someone was throwing this away.

thought i would share some pictures from my overnight fishing adventure. had a surprisingly wonderful weekend in the bay! packed up a bunch of library books, wine, delicious food + elliot then launched the boat out of napa as the tide was changing. we explored the sf bay, fished around the mothball fleet in suisun bay + anchored overnight in a little slew (name i can not recall).

even if you are not into fishing, i highly recommend exploring napa via water!
