the most delicious cake ever.

matt and i had some friends over for dinner last night. just a little last minute get together to celebrate our "paperwork day". when my sweet friend offered to bake us a cake i knew it would be delicious....everything she makes is.

but HELLO!?? just imagine my surprise and pure delight when this lovely peace of heaven walked through the door. um, this is a last minute cake? a cake she offered to bake me around 10 am that morning?!?!! a cake that not only looks lovely, but was so moist and full of flavor. just thinking about it makes my head is spin.

that wonderful gift to mankind...that sweet and creamy food i am supposed to stay far away from (at least for the next 20 or so days). well, dear sleeping boy, i just love coming home to plastic wrappers and dirty spoons left on the counter. fyi... you could have at the very least eaten your ice cream and thrown the evidence away.

i think its going to be a long night.

have you been to alice's yet? it is the most darling consignment store in napa off of yajome. if you have not been, you must go...and then pop next door for lunch at las palmas...and then stop by wilson's (my favorite feed store) to look at the baby chicks. perfect afternoon. at least for me.

well, the lovely ladies of alice's consignments are putting on napa's first antique and vintage flea market this saturday, may 22* from 8 am until 3 pm. finally, a flea market i don't have to get up before 5 am to be one of the first to see what the vendors have in their possession!
