17 weeks.

17 weeks and ten pounds later... I am feeling so much better, but nervous that my diet of chocolate, cheese, bread and ice cream (oh and the occasional fried food) is going to catch up with me very quickly.

Hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend!

words to live by | success

sunset . napa river

To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.  This is to have succeeded!  - Ralph Waldo Emerson

happy sunday.

{my furry baby pablo... loving the autumn weather.}

I am pleased as punch to announce that my Mister and I are expecting our first child this coming May. Just ten days shy of my 33 birthday! We are both over the moon (and a tad bit scared)!

Today marks my 15th week and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I start to feel better soon... this whole feeling hung over (for the past three months!) without drinking a bottle or two of wine has not been fun!

crabbing success.

{pablo desperately wanted some crab too.}

11.05.2010

i hope my husband catches crabs.

Crab season opens this weekend here in the Bay Area ocean and I can not begin to tell you how excited my husband is! And truth be told, I am equally as excited... not so much to go out fishing, but to eat lots of fresh crab.

Here are some pictures from our first crabbing adventure in June of 2009. Wishing you a happy weekend!

donate | your halloween candy.

{evidence of my husband's late night snacking.}

We have so much Halloween candy left over at our house it is wrong. When I woke up this morning and found my husband's empty wrappers left over from his late night snacking (see above image) and then consumed about 4 Kit Kats myself (for the 5th day in a row), I knew it all had to go T O D A Y!

After a quick Google search I found several great articles on donating your Halloween candy... I have included links to them below (just in case you are feeling the same way I am!).
